A vertical pipe is jointed on a horizontal pipe. Sound waves go in the vertical pipe and exit through the horizontal pipe.
The “Acoustic impedance” boundary condition is set on the sections of the horizontal pipe.
That makes the horizontal pipe reflection-free.
