Skin Mesh Setting

In the harmonic analysis and transient analysis of magnetic solver, the number of layers and thickness of the skin mesh for a conductor surface are specified.

Setting Item	Notes
Automatic Setting of Number of Layers and Thickness of Skin Mesh	Sets the values automatically. The values are displayed in the dialog box. The values vary according to the element order.
Total Thickness	Specifies the total thickness of all layers of skin meshes by multiplying the skin depth. The skin depth is calculated from the reference frequency.
Growth Rate	The layer thicknesses are in a geometric sequence. Its common ratio is set up. The layer on the conductor surface is set thinner than the inner layers. The growth rate is the ratio of thickness of the meshes in the ith layer and i+1st layer. For example, with 3 layers and the growth rate of 2, the ratio of each layer is 1:2:4 from the conductor surface. If the growth rate is 1, the ratio is 1:1:1.
Number of Layers	Specifies the number of layers of the skin mesh.
