Save Meshes in the Nastran Format

The mesh data can be saved in the Nastran format (.nas).

The data can be utilized by other analysis software.

The mesh data contains the following.

  • Element type, and body numbers and node numbers which comprise elements

  • Node numbers and coordinates

  • Material numbers

  • Body type, and body numbers and material numbers

  • Specific boundary condition. For the stress analysis (Galileo), see the details below.

  • Typical node elements in 2D or edge elements in 3D of the sliding boundary (only in the magnetic transient analysis (Luvens))

  • In the magnetic transient analysis (Luvens), typical node elements (in 2D) or edge elements (in 3D) of the sliding boundary is saved.

The common numbers for the air body and sliding meshes are output.

The dimensional unit is meter [m].

2D boundary conditions.are not output.

You need to redefine the material properties or convert the shell elements to boundary condition when they are used by other analysis software.

See the following list for the output items of stress analysis (Galileo).

Output Items of Stress Analysis

Analysis Type
