Example 25 Cylinder under Fixed Normal Displacement

General
-
The model is a cylinder stuck longitudinally with two materials that have different coefficients of linear thermal expansion.
The cylinder is subjected to a thermal load with the side face fixed in the perpendicular direction to its surface and freed in a parallel direction.
-
The deformation, the displacement distribution, and the stress distribution are solved.
-
Unless specified in the list below, the default conditions will be applied.

The cylinder's top and bottom faces are fixed in all directions. The side is fixed in normal displacement.
The upper and lower bodies have different coefficients of linear thermal expansion.

Results
The Z-direction displacement is shown below by contour. The scale adjustment is actual scale.

Body2 is pushing up Body1.
The section at XZ plane is shown below.

The border has been moved upward maintaining the same orientation and shape.
