Measures for Drawing Problems and Abnormal Termination of Program
If the drawing is not properly displayed or abnormal termination occurs, try methods A or B below.
A. Simple Measures with Slower Drawing Speed
Change the OpenGL version to 1.0
In the [General Settings], go to [GUI Setting], on [Version of OpenGL], select [OpenGL1.0].
OpenGL1.0 is installed as standard in Windows. Its operation is stable.
However the drawing speed is slower than OpenGL3.2 which utilizes GPU.
B. Time-Taking Measures with Faster Drawing Speed
Update the display driver to the latest version
This is a case where [OpenGL3.2] is selected for [Version of OpenGL] in [GUI Setting] of [General Settings].
The display driver may be causing the problem. Check if it can be solved by updating the display driver.
-
If a new display driver is available from the manufacture of the PC you are using, install the latest version.
-
If 1 is not available, search for the new driver from the support of the GPU manufacture and install the latest driver.
Example of countermeasure for failed installation of display driver
The example of countermeasure is shown below.
Please note that it is not guaranteed that this measure always solves the problem.
Case 1
The installation of upgraded display driver failed due to that an existing driver was not uninstalled properly.
Countermeasure 1
The problem was solved when the existing display driver was uninstalled manually as follows.
-
Go to [Control Panel] and open [Device Manager].
-
Go to [Display adapters], select and right-click GPU. From a right-click menu, select [Properties].
-
Click [Uninstall] on the [Driver] tab.
-
Go back to Device Manager. From [Action] menu, select [Scan for hardware changes].
-
Check if the device is recognized by [Display adapters] in Device Manager.
-
Execute installation of the GPU driver.
