How to Define Conductors and Electrodes in Electromagnetic Analysis
There are 3 ways to define conductors and electrodes.
Here, conductors are specified by the boundary conditions.
Define by Boundary Condition
Select "Electric wall" or "Surface impedance" as a boundary condition.
"Electric wall" means the lossless conductor. It is presumed that the conductor is sufficiently thicker than the skin depth.
Define by Material Name of Solid Body
Set Body Attribute Name and Material Name on the solid body. [Edit Material Property] dialog box > [Electric Conductivity] tab > select either [Conductor] or [Perfect conductor].
This method makes it possible to perform the analysis with the thickness of the conductor taken into account.
Define by Material Name of Face Topology
Set Body Attribute Name and Material Name on the sheet body, and define the electrode.
The setting of analysis conditions affects the calculation with this method.
If [Take thickness of face/edge electrode into account] is not selected in the option dialog box of Electromagnetic Analysis,
the calculation is performed in the same way as the first method: Specify by Boundary Condition.
If not, the analysis is performed with the thickness of the electrode taken into account.
This is effective when the electrode is thinner than the skin depth.
Note that the fast sweep can't be used if the thickness of the electrode is taken into account.
