How to Edit History on History Tree

The history can be edited in the History Tree on the tree window.
The modeling operations are shown on the history tree in the chronological order.

 

  • The history of a specific body can be displayed by specifying it
    in the filtering box at the top of the tree window.

 

Edit

  1. Go to the item you want to edit. Right click on it and select [Edit].
     

  2. The procedure depends on the type of modification. (See the right diagram.)
     

    • If the selected item is not editable, the edit menu will be masked off.
       

    • Press the <ESC> key to cancel the edit.

Change values/names

Enter them directly in their own fields.

Change selection

Select one from the drop-down list.

Specify file

Follow the instruction in the appeared dialog box.

 

  1. If [Apply Edit Automatically] is enabled, the edited content will be applied right away.

    If the edit has not been applied or [Apply Edit Automatically] is disabled, apply it manually as follows.

 

  1. Right click and select [Apply Edit], and re-execute.
     

    • The re-execution will be done in chronological order.
       

    • If an error occurs during the re-execution, the problematic command will be highlighted in red.

 

  1. Once completed, the dialog for confirmation will show up.
    At that moment, the viewpoint can be changed to see the modification is done properly.
    If satisfied, select "Yes".
     

    • If "No" is selected, the model will be back to the one before the edit.
      Redo or cancel the edit if necessary.

  • If the dialog box below shows up,



    the applied edit might result in the unexpected body count and allocation.

  • If the dialog box below shows up,



    as a result of editing history,
    either one or more of body attribute, material property, boundary condition, or partial mesh size
    shown in the dialog box might have been removed from the body or the topology. Check the model.
     

 

 

Note 1: Color of commands

The color of commands changes as follows.

Edit

Sets the selected item to the edit mode.

Cancel Edit

Cancels the edit performed by the selected command.

* This command is not for the edited item but for the command.

Undo up to Here

Undoes the operations up to the specified command.

* This command is selectable only for the completed commands.

Redo to Last

Cancels all the undo operations.

Cancel All Edits

Cancels all the edits.

Apply Edit

Modifies the model based on the applied edits.

* Re-executed from the modified point.

Apply Edit Automatically

Applies the edit automatically.

Apply the Update of Model DB

 

If the model data imported from the model DB

was updated, execute this command

to apply the update of the model DB.

 

Cleanup

Checks and deletes the history of settings of body attribute and material property, and the deleted bodies.

Note 3: Inexecutable operations during edit

The following operations are not allowed to execute during the edit or if the variables are modified.

 

  • Saving the model

  • Exiting the modeling

  • Creating meshes

  • Saving the macros

 

For these operations, you will be asked to select either "Apply Edit" or "Cancel Edit". Select either one to continue.
