Q4. Hyper Threading Technology(HT)

A. It is recommended to turn OFF Hyper Threading.

Hyper Threading Technology (referred to as HT function hereafter) is a function to implement simultaneous multithreading with one microprocessor.

Although HT function is effective for running multiple applications simultaneously, its effectiveness is less significant in some calculations.

For Femtet, it rather slows down calculations in some cases. It is recommended to turn it OFF.

 

If HT function is ON, though the Windows Task Manager will show CPU usage of 50%, it has been confirmed that CPU is fully used.
