Iron Loss Calculation

Femtet can solve the iron loss in the magnetic harmonic analysis and magnetic transient analysis.

Femtet performs calculation with iron loss table and iron loss empiric formula in the following way.

Calculate the magnetic flux density by the magnetic analysis.
Based on the results, the amplitude of magnetic flux density fluctuation is obtained by referring to the magnetic flux density of one period (1/fundamental frequency[s]) for each component.
If the input is not by the sine wave, the calculation is set to perform the frequency analysis (FFT).

Loss density distribution is calculated by the amplitude distribution of the magnetic flux density, and frequency, which are given by calculation 2 above, in reference to either iron loss table or empiric formula.
