Increase the Accuracy in Electromagnetic Analysis

Mesh Size

Smaller mesh size makes the simulation more accurate. However, it makes the calculation longer. The reasonable mesh size must be set.
About 1/6 of the wavelength of the calculation frequency is a reasonable size to start with.

Adaptive Mesh

FEM inherently has certain inaccuracy because models are approximated as assemblies of tetrahedrons. Adaptive meshing makes the mesh size smaller where the calculation errors are expected to be large.
Smaller mesh size leads to higher accuracy.

  • Operations
On the [Model] tab of the modeling window,

click [Analysis Condition] > go to [Mesh] tab
Select [Use the adaptive mesh method].

Miscellaneous

To calculate the radiation characteristics, use discrete sweep and calculate at the frequencies of your wish.

  • Operations
    On the [Model] tab,

    click [Analysis Condition] .
    [Analysis Condition Setting]
dialog box > [Harmonics Analysis] tab. Select Discrete sweep.
