Plating Tab

Setting tab for type of body in the plating analysis.

The tab is displayed in the [Edit Body Attribute] dialog box. See [How to Set Body Attribute/Material Property] for details.

Setting Item

Notes

Type of Plating Body

As a type of plating body, select from plating solution, anode, or cathode.

Overvoltage is taken into account on the boundaries of plating solution and anode bodies, or plating solution and cathode bodies.

If "Calculate the plating thickness" on Electric Analysis tab of Analysis condition is selected,
plating thickness will be taken into account on the boundary of plating solution and cathode bodies.

Extracted Metal Setting

If "Calculate the plating thickness" on Electric Analysis tab of Analysis condition is selected,
and cathode is specified for the type of plating body, extracted metal can be set.
In this setting, the following 4 parameters are set.

  • Electric conductivity

  • Electrochemical equivalent

  • Density

  • Extraction efficiency

Overvoltage Type

If anode or cathode is selected for the type of plating body,
approximation method of the overvoltage curve can be set.

By selecting either Linear or Tafel's Law for the type of overvoltage,
parameters required for approximation of overvoltage can be set.
When Nonlinear is selected for the type of overvoltage,
overvoltage curve can be specified by entering values in the current density-overvoltage table.
