Project Structure

The Femtet project is structured as follows.

  • Project (.femtprj)
    • Analysis Model 1
      • Model Shape
      • Analysis Condition
      • Body Attributes
      • Material Property
      • Boundary Condition
      • Mesh Size
      • Variable
      • Results (.pdt)
    • Analysis Model 2
      • Model Shape
      • Analysis Condition
      • Body Attributes
      • Material Property
      • Boundary Condition
      • Mesh Size
      • Variable
      • Results (.pdt)

What is Project?:

Project consists of analysis model(s).

A project is saved in a project file (.femprj).

  • The analysis results are saved in a (.pdt) file in the folder named [Project Name. Results], which is at the same location as the project file.

  • Multiple number of projects can be opened simultaneously.

  • Multiple number of models can be created in a project.
A series of simulations can be performed under the various conditions for a particular object.
See [Operations for Project] on [Project Tree].

What is Analysis Model?:

Included in the Femtet analysis model are not only the form factor but also various information such as analysis conditions, body attributes, etc.

  • Form Factor

  • Analysis Condition

  • Body attributes, material properties and boundary conditions

  • Variables

  • Results

An analysis model consists of one of each item.

These items are specific for the analysis model and cannot be referenced by other analysis models,

unless they are registered in the common database or copied.

See [Project Tree] for the detail.

See [New Analysis Model Creation] for more details.
