Parasolid File

The Parasolid® files can be imported or exported as follows.

The unit is [m].

Procedure for Import

  1. Create or open a new project in Femtet first.
     

  2. Go and click the [File] tab and select [Import CAD Data] .
     

  3. The Open dialog box will appear. Change the file type to Parasolid (*.x_t.*x_b).
     

  4. Specify file name in the dialog box. See "Import Dialog" for more information.

Procedure for Export

  1. Open the project to export in Femtet.
     

  2. All the bodies in the model will be exported unless specifically selected.
    It is possible to export only the selected bodies. See "Export Dialog" for more information.
     

  1. Go and click the [File] tab and select [Export CAD Data] .
     

  2. The Save As dialog box will show up.
    Specify the file name and the Parasolid file version.
