Acoustic Analysis

Th features of Mach (the acoustic solver) are explained here with some examples.

  1. The acoustic radiation impedance of a vibrator can be analyzed.

In Example 1 of Acoustic Analysis, the sound waves generated by a vibrating disc are analyzed.

The sound pressure distribution and the radiation impedance are obtained.

In Example 2 of Acoustic Analysis, the directivity of a vibrating disc is analyzed.

  2. The interference of sound waves can be analyzed.

In Example 3 of Acoustic Analysis, the interference of sound waves generated by two vibrating sources is observed. They are in-phase at the pressure boundary.

In Example 11 of Acoustic Analysis, the interference pattern is analyzed in the transient analysis.

The particle speed and the sound pressure distribution are obtained.
