How to Set Body Attribute, Material Property and Boundary Condition

More settings are required after the analysis condition setting.

They are body attributes, material properties and boundary conditions. In some cases, you might prefer to specify the mesh sizes yourself.

 

• The setting can be done on the property window as well.
  

• The List of Conditions is useful for checking the condition setups. Especially, it is useful to check and compare the conditions between multiple models.

Body Attribute

The body attribute is required to be set on each body. Various specific data, such as the thickness in the 2D analysis, the width of the wire body, the coordinates for anisotropic material, can be set on the body attribute.

Body attribute is distinguished by its name. Therefore it is not allowed to assign the same name to the different body attributes.

Material Property

Material property constitutes the body. The material data might vary depending on the simulation you try.

Material property is distinguished by its name. Therefore it is not allowed to assign the same name to the different material data.

Boundary Condition

You need to set boundary conditions on some parts of model's body (topology). The boundary conditions may vary depending on the simulation you try.

They are distinguished by name. It is not allowed to assign the same name to the different boundary conditions
