Diffusing Material Setting

Diffusing material is set.

See Diffusion Analysis of technical note for more information.

Notes

Material DB Setting

Selects a material from the list and click the [Input] button to select the diffusing material from the material database.

The selected material property will be automatically set to [Material Property Name], [Gas/Liquid Setting], [Molar Mass (Molecular Weight)], and [Densicty] on the diffusing material property tab.

When the main components of air (nitrogen, oxygen, argon, and carbon dioxide) are selected and their concentrations in air are calculated,
click [OK] in the following inquiries and then [Default Value of Concentration] will be set.

If Fluid Material (Base Material) not Set to Fluid Body

If Material Property of Air Is Set to Fluid Body,

Question 1

If calculating the concentration in air, click [Yes].

Click [Yes].

Question 2

If [Yes] is clicked on Question 1,

Click [Yes].

Set the material property of air to the fluid body.

Diffusing Material Property

[Material Property Name] Enter the material property name of diffusing materials.

[Gas/Liquid Setting] Set the diffusing material to gas or liquid.

[Molar Mass (Molecular Weight)] Enter the molar mass (molecular weight) of the diffusing material.

[Density] Enter the density of the diffusing material. This is only when the diffusing material is a liquid.

When selecting the material from the list in the material DB setting and clicking [Yes], automatically entered.

Material Property of Base Material

As a reference, the settings of [Material Property Name], [Gas/Liquid Setting], [Molar Mass (Molecular Weight)], and [Density] for the material property set to the body are displayed.

Allows for the comparison with the material property of the diffusing material.

Default Value of Concentration

If the diffusing material is contained in the base material, enter, as the default value of concentration, the concentration of the diffusing material in the base material.

If the base material is air and the diffusing material is nitrogen, air contains 79.08 [%] nitrogen.

If the [Type and Unit of Diffusion Quantity] is [mole fraction] [%], the entry value will be 78.09 [%].

(When nitrogen is selected at the material DB setting, the value will be entered automatically)
