02.Create a Model

Two boxes for the substrate (VOL1) and the heat source (VOL2) are created.

Procedure

  1.  On the [Model] tab, go to , click [Solid], and select [Box [Specify Length]] on the submenu.

 

 

  1. Designate the startpoint.

    In the parameter input dialog box
    , enter Startpoint (X: -25, Y: -25, Z: -1) and click .

     

  2. Tips on the parameter input dialog box

    If the input value is nil, you don't need to enter 0 in the entry field. The blank is acceptable.

    Press the <Tab> key to hop around the items in the dialog box.
    Press the <Enter> key on to proceed to the next setting.

  • Another way to input parameters
    Instead of the numerical entry explained above,
    you may click on the target coordinates on the modeling window.

     

 

  1. Set the width.

    Enter Width: 50 and click .

 

  1. Set the depth.

    Enter Depth: 50 and click .

  1. Set the height.

    Enter Height: 2 and click .

     

  1. Click in the parameter input dialog box and exit.
     

    1. It is also possible to exit with the <Esc> key.

 

The box for the substrate (VOL1) has been created.

 

  1. To fit the model on the modeling window, go to the [Model] tab,

    and click [Fit] on .

    See [Viewpoint Operation] for the details.
     

  1. Create another box.

    On the [Model]
    tab,go to , click [Solid], and select [Box [Specify Length]] on the submenu.

    In the parameter input dialog box, enter Startpoint (X: -10, Y: -10, Z: 1) and click .
     

  1. Set the width.

    Enter Width: 20 and click .

  1. Set the depth.

    Enter Depth: 20 and click .

  1. Set the height.

    Enter Height: 2 and click .

  1. Click in the parameter input dialog box and exit.
     

  1. It is also possible to exit with the <Esc> key.

     

The box for the heat source (VOL2) has been created.

  1. You can undo or redo the operation. The operations can be changed as follows;

    In the
    click [Undo] to undo the modeling or attribute operation.



    click [Redo]
    to redo the modeling or attribute operation.
