Analysis Flow

The simulations on Femtet go through the following steps:

Notes

Project Creation

Create a project to start with.

Analysis Space Setting

Define an analysis space together with the unit.

Modeling

Create a simulation model.
Alternatively, CAD data can be imported and modified.

Analysis Condition Setting

Select a solver which solves the physical domain of your interest.

Then the basic analysis conditions required for the selected solver are set up.

Body Attribute, Material Property and Boundary Condition Settings

Set body attributes and material properties on the bodies created in modeling.

Set boundary conditions on the applicable topologies.

Simulation Accuracy Setting (Mesh/Element)

Set the mesh size and the element type and order.

Simulation Execution

Run the solver.

Result Display

Display the results by graphics, charts and tables.

 

To increase calculation speed, modify the settings in [Calculation Speed (Matrix Solver) Setting]. This adjustment may help resolve performance issues.
