Application94 Resistance Analysis of Rotary Encoder

A general term for position sensors that convert mechanical displacement in the direction of rotation into digital quantities is "rotary encoders (rotary sensors).".
Originally, rotary encoders were devised as detectors for measuring rotation angles, but in recent years they have been used in positioning servo systems for robots and information equipment, and their role has become more important.
In this case, we introduce a contact type of an angle sensor (rotary sensor) that detects angles by the partial pressure ratio of the internal resistor, which is one of the absolute systems.
For the three electrodes, a voltage is set for the input, a floating electrode is set for the output, and a 0V potential is set for the GND in boundary conditions, and the floating electrode potential is sensed for the rotation angle of the shaft.
