Select “Ignore the influence of face/edge electrode thickness” *

* This is the default setting. There are no face electrodes with this model. Therefore it is irrelevant to select it or not.

Model

A portion of corrugated waveguide is extracted for analysis. No boundary condition is set on the faces normal to Z axis.

The “periodic” boundary condition is set on the faces of PERIOD1 and PERIOD2.

The other faces are set with Electric wall PEC.

Results

The phase difference of periodic boundary is varied in the range of 1 ≤ θ ≤ 359. The resonant frequencies are plotted for each angle.

The electric field at θ=180.

This is the lowest – frequency resonant mode.
