10. View the Results

The calculation results are available in various formats.
Let's take a look at the vectors, the gradation contour, and the cross section.

  • There might be slight differences in results depending on the Femtet version or the PC you use.

Procedure

  1. Check the calculated values.

The volumetric flow rate and the force on the wall face are summarized on the tables.

  • Table can be seen by clicking [Table] on the [Results] tab.
The values in the table can be copied and pasted, or exported in CSV.

  1. Check the calculated values from the diffusion analysis.

Switch from to in the combo box below the table.

The molar concentration and molar concentration flow rate of the inflow/outflow boundary are displayed in the table.

  1. We take a look at the gradation contour of the flow velocity.

On the [Results] tab, go to

    and click [Gradation Contour] .

The gradation contour diagram of the flow velocity will be shown.

  • The results display settings such as contour diagram and vector diagram can be registered.

A previous display state can be reproduced and the same settings can be applied to the other results.

    See [Registering Results Display Setting].

Gradation Contour of Flow Velocity

    • To modify the contour display,

on the [Results] tab, go to

      and click [Graphics Setup] .

In the [Graphics Setup] dialog box, select [Contour]
      tab,

and modify the maximum/minimum values, the number of divisions, the colors etc.

The Contour tab is explained here

    • The contour and vector values of a particular point can be obtained

      by specifying the coordinates.

      On the [Results]
      tab, go to

      ,

and click [Results at Specified Coordinates] .

The [Results at Specified Coordinates] dialog box will show up.

Enter the coordinates of your interest and click the [Calculate] button.

See [Results at Specified Coordinates] for more information.

The contour and vector values for the currently chosen field will be shown on tooltips and the Output Window.

You can delete displayed tooltips by selecting [Delete All Tooltips] on the right-click menu.

  1. Show the cross section.

    On the [Results] tab

    click [Show Cross Section]
    .

The [Cross Section] dialog box will show up.

  1. In the [Cross Section] dialog box, select Simple Mode.

    Select [Enable Preview] and
    click [ZX plane].
    Click [Close].

  • If [Detailed Mode] is selected, multiple cross sections and the surface can be displayed simultaneously.

The cross section will show up.

Cross Section

  1. Show the vectors of the flow velocity.

    On the [Results]
    tab

    click [Element Vector] .

The vector diagram of the flow velocity will show up.

The Vectors of Flow Velocity

  1. Let's take a look at the results at the streamlines.

    On the [Results]
    tab,

click [Show Cross Section] to cancel the display of cross section.

Click [Element Vector] to cancel the display of vector diagram.

    Click [Streamlines] .

    The streamlines will be displayed.

Streamlines

  1. Show the results of the diffusion analysis.

    On the [Results]
    tab, go to

    .

Click the solver combo box to select .

Click [Streamlines] to cancel the display of streamlines..

    Click [Gradation Contour] .

Click [Show Cross Section] to restart showing the cross section (click [Close] on the dialog box).

The gradation contour diagram of molar concentration on the cross-section will show up.
